Simply, to establish a sustainable residential
and employment development.
A place where people live and
work, with shops, community facilities, a doctor's surgery,
a village hall or local centre and recreational space, including
maybe a cricket pitch and football fields.
At Broadmeadow, the proposed new community
will also have play areas for children, a riverside walk,
a nature reserve and an increased bus service to the local
centres and Ipswich itself. A cycle path will connect the
site along the River Gipping to the centre of Ipswich.
We aim to create job opportunities for
local people, as well as provide homes for a wide variety of
local residents, old and young, single and married; in short,
a sustainable community.
